This category contains four TEFCOLD SE-series horizontal freezers: SE10-45, SE20-45, SE30-45 and SE40-45. On the current TEFCOLD product pages all four are positioned as “Medical Freezer”. Their stated temperature range is −45 to −5 °C. The first selection question is therefore whether this range matches the actual laboratory, medical or other controlled-storage process - only then should capacity and footprint be compared.
All four models use an electronic thermostat with alarm, a lockable solid lid, static cooling, manual defrost, powder-coated steel interior, one white wire basket and castors with two brakes. The refrigerant is R290. The main differences are net volume, width, input power and energy consumption, from the 152 l SE10-45 up to the 392 l SE40-45.
These units should not be described on this website as ordinary retail or food-display freezers. Although the cabinet format is a horizontal chest, the product family is listed here under laboratory freezers and is currently labelled by TEFCOLD as Medical Freezer. For regulated storage, always verify the exact temperature, monitoring, validation, alarm and backup-power requirements of the stored material against the documentation for the selected model.

All four active SE models carry the same stated temperature range of −45 to −5 °C. Within this series, model choice is therefore mainly about capacity and physical size, while the setpoint must follow the requirements of the material being stored.
If your process requires temperatures below −45 °C, the SE range is not suitable. A temperature setting alone also does not prove compliance with a specific medical or laboratory standard.
SE10-45 provides 155 / 152 l gross / net volume and measures 734 × 705 × 945 mm. TEFCOLD lists 3.45 kWh/24 h energy use and 250 W input power.
It is the logical choice where the stored quantity is small and floor space is limited.
SE20-45 provides 235 / 230 l gross / net volume, measures 984 × 705 × 945 mm, uses 3.55 kWh/24 h and has 300 W input power.
It is the mid-size step between the compact SE10-45 and the higher-capacity SE30-45 / SE40-45.
SE30-45 provides 330 / 323 l gross / net volume, measures 1284 × 705 × 945 mm, uses 5.15 kWh/24 h and has 500 W input power.
Choose it when substantially more storage volume is needed but the 1.5 m wide SE40-45 would be unnecessarily large.
SE40-45 is the largest active model in the category: 400 / 392 l gross / net volume, 1504 × 705 × 945 mm, 5.52 kWh/24 h energy use and 600 W input power.
Check not only the floor footprint but also lid-opening space and comfortable access across the full 1.5 m cabinet width.
TEFCOLD specifies an electronic thermostat with alarm on all four models. This allows the operating temperature to be set electronically and provides the controller’s alarm function.
Do not infer functions that are not stated on the current product pages, such as cloud monitoring, GSM alarms or integrated continuous data logging.
The SE range uses static cooling, with no internal fan-driven air circulation listed. Loading pattern and container placement can therefore influence temperature distribution inside the chest.

The SE range has a clearly defined feature set: −45 to −5 °C, electronic thermostat with alarm, static cooling and manual defrost. It is not a universal solution for every medical application.
If the project requires lower temperatures, continuous data logging, remote alarm, validated temperature uniformity, specific certification or integrated backup systems, verify those requirements separately before selecting an SE model.
