Cold room doors for commercial refrigeration are insulated professional doors used in chilled storage rooms, freezer rooms, food-production facilities, restaurants, retail stores and other temperature-controlled areas. The right door helps maintain the required temperature while providing safe and practical access.
Hinged doors are a practical option for smaller openings and regular staff access. Sliding doors are useful for wider openings or where a swinging door would obstruct trolleys, goods or the working area. Sliding models also require enough clear wall space for the leaf to slide open.
Choose a model using the required clear opening width × height, the lowest operating temperature and the installation conditions. For chilled rooms, choose a door suitable for operation down to 0 °C. Freezer-room options are available for approximately −20 to −40 °C; depending on the selected temperature, the construction may include heated gaskets and frame heating.
Standard door surfaces use white painted steel, while a stainless-steel finish can be selected where washability and hygiene are especially important, such as in meat, dairy, fish and food-processing areas. Frames may be specified for insulated sandwich panels or masonry/concrete walls. Check the panel thickness, door handing and the available installation space before ordering.
Examples of available sizes: 1000 × 2100 mm sliding freezer-room door, 1400 × 2100 mm hinged chilled-room door and 1000 × 2600 mm sliding chilled-room door. These are examples only; select the final specification for the actual site conditions.
For other freezer-room layouts, compare the 1000 × 2100 mm hinged freezer-room door and the 1200 × 2000 mm sliding freezer-room door. Consider the required clear opening, swing or rail clearance, and the actual operating temperature before selecting a model.
Planning a complete room rather than replacing its door? Compare the modular cold rooms and freezer rooms range. If the construction opening or temperature rating is uncertain, confirm the manufacturer's installation drawing before ordering.
